Diversity, Equity and Inclusion continue to be a priority but how can organizations measure success? From creating Employee Resource Groups to implementing critical training programs, cultivating inclusive workplaces requires various dimensions, efforts and metrics.

Objective Metrics

When it comes to measuring Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Access metrics, finding the right numbers can be challenging as you don’t want to set arbitrary quotas. Profile your organization with benchmarks to get a sense of where you need to go. DEI metrics that focus on your employee life cycle, such as representation of diverse talent, and retention, are good place to start to understand your organization better. DEI metrics that focused on employee experience, such as employee engagement scores and Employee Resource Group (ERG) participation are good tools to understanding how employees feel about their journey in the organization and where you can improve as an employer.
